Parvovirus is a virus that causes an exanthem and fever in children. It is called fifth disease. When adults are infected they can present with arthritis.
Current parvovirus infection can be diagnosed by PCR test for viral antigen. Serology includes IgM Parvo ab and IgG parvo ab
Treatment of parvovirus arthritis is symptomatic.
